griddle cheese

my latest
obssession
is pepper jack cheese.

and while
last month's
obssession
was my panini
press, i thought,
"why not combine
the two?"

so the griddled
cheese was born.

it was perfect.
the cheese oozed
out from
beneath the
bread, and
heat from the cheese
made the inside hot
but kept the
outside of the
bread crispy.

sweet tater bowl

fall and most
definitely winter
make me crave
sweet potatoes.

the last couple
days the temperature
dropped, so i turned
to warm foods.

i bake ten or
so sweet potatoes
and keep them
in the fridge for the week.

last night,
i mashed a tater
in a bowl, combined
it will pepper jack shreds,
shredded chicken,
and some salsa.

SO good. the potato
tastes like gnocchi
and the cheese
melted perfectly.

spicy turkey

cold weather=
_____+_____

the answers
would be
spice and warmth.

feeling a little
sniffley, so i
made a pressed
turkey
and pepper jack
sandwich.

the cheesy
slices of turkey
worked
well with toasted bread.

i love winter!

bloody mary

for the past
few weeks,
i've been upping
my intake of vegetables
to fend off flu season.

it occurred to me
that not only should
i be eating veggies, but
i can just as easily
drink them.

thus, a container
of virgin bloody
mary concoction
was born.

v8, freshly minced
garlic and ginger, and
lemon juice helped
bring this drink to life.

i forgot to
add worchestershire, so
it have as much of
a kick as i wanted.
